You will see the Windows Network Diagnostics screen which will show 'Detecting Problems' and try to detect any network problems. Right click on the network icon on the Task Bar, in the notification area (system tray) and choose 'Troubleshoot Problems'. Even if it doesn't fix the problem, you will have some idea as to what is causing the issue. In many cases, Windows 7 will itself detect and fix the issues though Network Troubleshooter. When you launch this tool it scans the network settings and available networks and displays the results.
